XINTELA TECKNAR LETTER OF INTENT MED CO.DON
Xintela AB (publ) tillkännager idag att bolaget har undertecknat ett Letter of
Intent (avsiktsförklaring) med det ledande europeiska cellterapibolaget CO.DON.
Parterna avser att utveckla en stamcellsprodukt för behandling av artros,
baserat på Xintelas stamcellsteknologi. CO.DON kommer att betala en
exklusivitetsavgift för en 6-månaders period, under tiden som ett
samarbetsavtal ska färdigställas.
Xintela och CO.DON avser att gemensamt utveckla stamceller för behandling av
ledbroskskador, inklusive artros, på de europeiska och nordamerikanska
marknaderna. Parterna har inlett diskussioner kring ett joint venture upplägg
där Xintela kommer att tillhandahålla sin markör- och stamcellsteknologi samt
GMP-produktionskapacitet. CO.DON kommer att tillföra finansiering och kompetens
inom klinisk utveckling och kommersialisering. Den slutliga strukturen och
villkoren för samarbetet återstår att fastställa.
- Detta kan vara en mycket fördelaktig möjlighet för Xintela. Samarbetet kommer
att tillföra all finansiering för utveckling av en stamcellsprodukt redan från
det prekliniska stadiet. Detta skulle göra det möjligt för Xintela att helt
fokusera på produktutveckling och tillverkning av stamceller för kliniska
prövningar. Dessutom kommer CO.DON att tillföra värdefull kompetens inom
klinisk utveckling, regulatoriska frågeställningar och marknadsföring. Genom
att samarbeta med ett etablerat cellterapibolag som CO.DON kan vi minska risker
och förkorta tiden till marknaden, säger Xintelas vd Evy Lundgren-Åkerlund.

Om Xintela
Xintela utvecklar medicinska produkter inom regenerativ medicin och onkologi
baserade på bolagets patentskyddade markörteknologi, XINMARK(r). Xintela
använder teknologin för att framställa och kvalitetssäkra stamceller för
behandling av ledsjukdomen artros. Studier på hästar har visat att stamcellerna

XINTELA SIGNS LETTER OF INTENT WITH CO.DON
Xintela AB (publ) announces today that the company has signed a Letter of
Intent with the leading European cell therapy company CO.DON. The parties
intend to co-develop a stem cell product for the treatment of osteoarthritis,
based on Xintelas stem cell technology. CO.DON will pay an exclusivity fee for
a 6- month period, during which time a joint venture agreement will be
finalized.
Xintela and CO.DON intend to jointly develop stem cells for therapy of
cartilage disorders including osteoarthritis in the European and North American
markets. The parties have entered into discussions toward a joint venture
arrangement where Xintela will provide its marker and stem cell technology and
GMP production capabilities. CO.DON will provide funding and competence in
clinical development and commercialization. The final structure and terms of
the joint venture remain to be settled. CO.DON will pay an exclusivity fee for
6 month, during the time a possible joint venture agreement will be finalized.

from the preclinical stage. This would allow Xintela to focus on product

About Xintela
Xintela develops medical products within regenerative medicine and oncology
based on its proprietary marker technology, XINMARK(r). Xintela uses the
